Fundraising/Volunteering 2012-2013

Exeter Skating Club 2013-2014 Fundraising Update

Christmas Home Tour – Friday, November 8th & Saturday, November 9th

Fundraising Cheques: If you did not fulfill your fundraising obligation, your fundraising cheque will be cashed in the next few days. For those that fulfilled part of their obligation, rebate cheques will be available before the end of the season for the amount of fundraising credit earned. For those that fulfilled their entire commitment, cheques will be destroyed.

In order to keep registration costs low, ESC will offer a number of opportunities for skaters and their families to fundraise a portion of their registration. The fundraising options will be offered in October and throughout the season. Check the ESC bulletin board and your monthly newsletters for updates. Fundraising cheques will be cashed in March for those families who did not earn credit for the full fundraising amount. The club will then issue refund cheques for the amount of credit that was earned. The club also offers the opportunity for families to Opt-Out of fundraising by paying a discounted fundraising rate at the time of registration.

Volunteering throughout the skating season is a vital part of running a successful club. As a member of the ESC, it is mandatory that a parent/guardian from each skating family volunteers for two volunteer shifts during the skating season. On a year when the club hosts a Carnival, at least one shift must be for Carnival. Shift sign-ups will be made available at registration and during the first few weeks of skating. It is your responsibility to sign up early for best selection and ensure that you are aware of when your shifts are approaching. The club requires a volunteer bond cheque as a guarantee. The Volunteer Coordinator or any executive member can help if you have any questions.
